The work consists of a screen print process with layers of half tone in keeping with the industrial process used and adding and more simplified blend printing technique. The work is enhanced by a halftone varnish dot through the sky.
Reverse 2 ‘Santiago’, an edition of 10, is a 4 colour silkscreen print on 410gsm Somerset Tub Sized Satin Paper. The whole artwork is finished with a satin seal, while the silver leaf is hand applied to the reverse of the billboard.
Billboards have always interested me, from the distortion of information at close up to the peeled off paper from an old surface creating an accidental collage.
